Environmental concerns are important to us:

We have invested a significant sum in the latest environmental technologies for our etching facility at our site in Syrgenstein. The etching facility will operate in a complete closed emission free system. This means that there remain no toxic gases or liquids, everything will be recycled.

Waste gas is filtered and waste water is purified and neutralized. Reusable materials such as gypsum and fluorspar are recovered and fed back into the production cycle.

Berliner Glas' production process exceeds all minimum requirements of pertinent legislation and contributes to a clean and healthy environment.

One-of-a-kind among etching facilities: as well as all other sites of the Berliner Glas Group is our location Syrgenstein certified according to DIN ISO 14001 and fulfils word wide a role model function. As a matter of course we are certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2000.
